Dave Kimmet

David Kimmet

President and CEO

David Kimmet is the President and CEO of Rehn & Associates. He values Rehn’s staff, fosters a culture of teamwork and has a high expectation of excellence. After nearly two decades in the Third-Party Administration business, David truly knows what it means to create mutually beneficial relationships with Rehn’s clientele.

David supports the various teams at Rehn & Associates and is involved with the day-to-day operations of the business. Under his leadership, Rehn has won local and national awards for Innovation and Excellence and is recognized by many organizations for their outstanding service and support.

David holds a BA in Organizational Management from Whitworth University, graduating Suma Cum Laude. He currently holds various Board positions within the Spokane, Washington business community, where he was born, raised and currently resides with his wife and sons.

Malinda Kimmet

Malinda Kimmet

Vice President

Malinda Kimmet, Vice President, has been with Rehn & Associates since 1988. While at Rehn she has been involved with all of the Administrative duties for our Taft-Hartley, Pension, Self-Insured Healthcare plans, Consumer Driven Healthcare and COBRA clientele.

Malinda’s current duties include all aspects of Rehn & Associates’ corporate accounting needs and a final review of all client financial information. She takes pride in providing excellent service and care for our employees and customers, helping Rehn maintain their stellar reputation.

Malinda was born and raised in Spokane, Washington, where she currently resides with her husband and two boys. She enjoys spending time trying new recipes, shopping for vintage treasures and has a passion for physical fitness.


Kirsten Knox

Kristen Showalter

Assistant Vice President

Kristen Showalter, Assistant Vice President, has been with Rehn & Associates since March, 2006. She started her career at Rehn as a Claims Adjudicator, working her way up through the Claims Department to a Lead position and then joined the Leadership Team in 2013.

Kristen is the Manager of the Administration Department and an Administrative Agent for Taft-Hartley plans. She is a prominent voice in educating all parties involved on how plans operate by successfully using strategies that allow individuals to think outside of the box.

Kristen attended Spokane Falls Community College and then continued her education at Bryman College with a degree in Medical Billing and Coding. Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, Kristen’s interests include personal health and fitness and interior decorating, but her number one passion in life is her daughter and being a soccer mom.

Karen Brash

Karen Brash

Manager of Self-Funded Plans

Karen Brash joined Rehn & Associates as the Senior Manager of Self-Funded Health Care Plans as well as the Claims Manager in 2010. She currently splits the majority of her days between managing the Claims Department & Support Personnel and Account Management of our self-insured commercial business.

Karen has significant experience in self-funding healthcare, and regularly advises on the many intricacies of this concept. Her expertise in the reinsurance and self-funded arena is a great advantage in helping secure confidence in our self-insured administration and create additional connections for our community.

As Claims Manager, Karen works on a day-to-day basis with employees, clients, carriers and account managers to assist them with claims, renewals, stop loss and billing issues. With her team, she makes certain that clients are well taken care of and all questions and concerns are addressed. She also works to ensure new business is implemented timely and efficiently.

Karen was born and raised in Cheney, Washington, where she resides with her husband. She enjoys spending time with her family, working on the family ranch, and educating youth regarding the livestock industry.
